On the 4th of January 2022, Radio Fry Fry went on air as the first Audio Visual Radio Station in Sierra Leone expanding the normal radio experience and using state-of-the-art technology as a unique brand to broadcast, innovate and create content. Radio Fry Fry is currently broadcasting in five (5) major cities of Bo, Kenema, Makeni, Kono, and Freetown; with its headquarters located in the capital city.
In just four months, as of April 2022 Radio Fry Fry is reaching over 3.5 million people within the five (5) broadcast areas. It is a contemporary radio station with a strong local identity broadcasting in both English and Krio.
As the first audio-visual station our niche is to educate and give every listener the opportunity to be heard and to share their experiences on everyday reality conversations; allowing each listener to feel personally connected and engaged on all our content via multiple channels including analog, mobile radio, website, social media, and group chats.
The station boasts of its lively and talented on-air presenters and the music format offers a diverse mix of Sierra Leone and Western gospel or moral music in R&B, Afrobeat, Pop, Jazz, Classic, Soul, Continental, Rap which is carefully selected for popularity.
We strive to innovate, produce quality content that is relevant and intimate, and keep in touch with what matters most to our listeners. The station’s content includes dedicated lifestyle features and specialist slots including music, news, sports, traffic reports, competitions and on-air features. We are music driven and conduct regular research exercises to ensure that listeners only hear what they want to hear.
